Terms & Conditions

Text.Cab is operated by Text Cab LLC, a Massachusetts limited liability company.

Effective Date: April 28, 2026

By accessing, booking, paying for, or using any Text.Cab services, users agree to these Terms & Conditions.

1. Platform Role

Text.Cab operates exclusively as a transportation marketplace and dispatch technology platform.

Text Cab LLC:

  • does not directly provide transportation services
  • does not own transportation vehicles
  • does not employ transportation drivers
  • does not guarantee vehicle availability

Transportation services are independently performed by participating fleets, dispatchers, and drivers.

2. Geographic Scope

Services may operate within Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, and Connecticut.

Interstate trips may be accepted only when assigned fleet lawfully operates in applicable jurisdictions.

3. Booking Confirmation

A booking request becomes confirmed only after driver assignment.

Before assignment:

  • availability is not guaranteed
  • pricing may change
  • request may be declined

Text.Cab reserves right to decline or cancel bookings before pickup.

4. Fleet Channels

Bookings may originate through Fleet Channels.

Fleet Channel means a platform-controlled attribution and rider acquisition mechanism.

Fleet Channel types may include:

  • Fleet Link
  • Referral Code
  • Custom Domain Redirect linked to Fleet Link

Fleet Channel does not transfer legal control, payment control, or customer ownership.

5. Payment Authorization

Users authorize:

  • payment verification
  • temporary card authorization
  • delayed capture
  • post-trip charging
  • cancellation fee charging
  • damage fee charging when justified

Final charges may adjust for waiting time, address changes, added stops, class upgrades, hourly extensions, cleaning, and damages.

6. Cancellation

Cancellation rules depend on trip type, timing, and assignment stage.

Separate Cancellation Policy applies.

7. Refund and Fare Review Timing

Refund or fare review requests must be submitted within 72 hours after ride completion or cancellation.

Text.Cab and participating fleet may review and resolve requests within 7 business days.

Complex cases may require additional time.

8. User Conduct

Users may not:

  • provide false identity
  • use unauthorized payment methods
  • manipulate GPS
  • maintain duplicate accounts
  • harass drivers, fleets, dispatchers, or support

Violation may lead to suspension.

9. Minor Riders

Account holders must be at least 18 years old.

Adults booking for minors remain fully responsible.

10. Child Safety

If child seat is required, user must select child seat option or provide legally compliant child restraint equipment.

11. Vehicle Conduct

Smoking is prohibited inside fleet vehicles.

Users remain financially responsible for:

  • interior damage
  • exterior damage
  • cleaning charges

12. Limitation of Liability

Text Cab LLC acts solely as platform operator.

Text Cab LLC shall not be liable for:

  • driver conduct
  • fleet conduct
  • accidents
  • delays
  • missed flights
  • missed appointments
  • vehicle condition

Maximum liability shall never exceed amount paid for disputed booking.

13. Arbitration

All disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration under Massachusetts law.

Users waive class-action participation where legally permitted.

14. Force Majeure

Text.Cab is not responsible for delays, interruptions, or cancellations caused by weather, traffic emergencies, airport restrictions, governmental action, or technical outages.

15. Policy Updates

Text.Cab may update legal policies at any time.

Continued use constitutes acceptance.
